I can think of other ones. These aren't verifiable character names but examples of things that would be of sexual suggestion while also seeming innocent. Take it for what you will but yeah. I'm sure I could think of many others but I think the point is made.

If you think the name is going to get you a ban then most likely going to. Even if it goes through ANet filter because you changed one letter or whatnot doesn't mean its alright because ANet let me do it you still had the intention of it being offensive.
So in short if you don't make childish names you won't get a rename or a ban its that simple.

People with this attitude are generally dicks and should be ignored...no mention of the name for the all high and mighty types to judge what is and is not childish and yet, a judgement is made (what gives the term "Xtian" a bad flavor in the mouths of chior boys and Athiests alike). Furthermore, they tend to blame the person with the ban, not the person who complained (i.e. /bitch) about it...name banning is usually a form of revenge for some tightly wound turd with nothing better to do than ruin your day...why? Because YOU are the type of person who likes to have FUN because it's a GAME and some can't be bothered that even though you comply with the rating of the game, they feel the name is just too clever in the way it subtlely masks a double entendre referring to an act of bawdiness that may or may not fit the humor, theme and sentiment of the game...
...what it boils down to is some tight-ass with no sense of humor can bitch and ban your name wether it's sensible or not. I admit there are a few names involving racism and chicken rape that might cross the line, but most anything can get whacked because the kid who loved tattling on the playground grew older, but never grew up...other people's fun hurts them...sad...pathetic...dicks.
EDIT: P.S. Please close thread....enough of these exist already.

lol, i dont think anyone even mentioned your name.
And on a side note, if its not spoken, its not slander. Look up the word sometime, you may learn what it means

The report function is the worst thing in this game. I've gone back to D2 because of it.
*Can't win an argument? /report everyone
*Can't get an actual job as a mod so you become a wannabe? /report everyone
*Twelve years old and wants to be a big boy with the filter off but can't handle what he sees? /report everyone
*Bored? /report everyone
*Just a general faggot? /report EVERYONE.
Yeah this is like dota banlist all over again. Except that Guild Wars was actually enjoyable before this faggotry.

As crude as your argument is, i totally agree with you. I miss the days when you could tell a player to fukk off and stop asking me to run you places without having to worry about /report.
True the /report feature has done well for leeching PvP but that's about it. Otherwise all it has done is given authority to people who shouldn't have any. Now we have lots of self appointed "internet police" who like to abuse this feature and hit everybody with the /report stick.

It doesn't even stop leeching. You leech, you get kicked for 10 minutes and then get to hop right back in. Anyone just clicking then afking isn't going to be bothered by this. People who actually play will be.
Any other offence gets you banned for days, sometimes weeks at a time. Such a joke of a system.

I find it sad that some people that have almost decent names get banned while others who make names for the sole purpose of getting banned never have a problem.
Perfect example: I have a guild member that from character 1 has tried to get banned. I dont know why... just a warped sense of humor i guess. But anyway... Character 1(I will not use the names, just let you all have fun figuring them out) has a name of a specific male body part being permanently marked with ink, another character is named after a specific male body part not functioning properly. Yet still after over 3 years, still not banned. Seems like to me that "Drippy Cucumber" would be an ok name after some my guild member has.

Hmm. It amazes me how many people don't bother to notice that everywhere in life including online games all have rules put in place and if you don't follow those rules and what not you are target-able for ban. Anet has a EULA and they have the right to change that agreement for any reason that they feel is needed.
Using the /report feature does not mean that person is going to get a instant ban it just flags that point of time or that person so Anet can take further investigations into the matter. If they feel that the name or actions that where made by the person that was reported.
People don't have to be spiteful or dicks to do a /report it's a feature put into the game so that Anet doesn't to have GM's patroling the game 24/7 like some other games have done.
Just because your name didn't say some words exactly doesn't give you at all the right to say that your name was wrongfully banned. It the intention that you had when you made the name.
So I'll say it again just play the game and don't be childish with your names and don't try to make yourself noticed and you can easily solve almost every problem that can be banned with the exception of the many other ban-able offensive such as RMT and Botting.

Ahh, it becomes more clear now...
You want to be able to use names that can be interpreted by some people as offensive. But you want to use common non offensive words so that when people figure out your intended offensive name, you can blame it on their interpretation.
Do you know how transparent, and obvious you are? You are one of hundreds if not thousands in this game who lack the maturity of most 15 year olds. Grow up, play the game, quit trying to be "cute". Or take the bans.
There needs to be an auto ban on Guru for creators of "name ban" threads.

Had you actually bothered to read what I have written ...
Quote:
the name in question had no intentional misspellings of banned or otherwise offensive words, no religious, racial, national, sexual or personal connotations

..instead of being a presumptuous little git, you might have noticed that was not the case.

Funny, I'd say that people like you who find Massive Carrot and such names offensive lack maturity. Do grow up please, play the game, quit trying to be a "douche". Or don't and cringe at vegetables, whatever..

If you have a problem with ANet's name policy you can contact them here; http://www.guildwars.com/support/
Arguing about it here does nothing for your case.
